Never leave a brother to die or an enemy to live. " – Valen, High Commander (SOL) Navy addressing the troops on TeamSpeak prior to the Outfits first major battle in Planetside retail.

The name of (SOL) Navy instills fear in our enemies and wary respect in our allies. We are a tightly knit group of soldiers that never leaves any of its members or allies behind. Our command staff is made up of the best tactical and strategic minds. We strike down enemies with calculated brutality. From MMOGs like Planetside and WW2 Online, to online tournament games like Call of Duty, (SOL) Navy brings skill and coordination to bear in every conflict. We fight as one team and work together to achieve our goals. No matter what the odds, if one of our troopers finds himself cut off in battle he can count on backup being on its way.

Tonight, SN returned to Zul'Gurub with a burning desire; a desire to show a few furballs who is boss.

From the deepest jungles of Stranglethorn

Our Challenge: Zul'Gurub.

This was a place we had ventured many times before and that all were familiar with. We plowed through the mobs with lightning like force. Work like a well oiled machine, we reached Venoxis first. Here, we found that Holy Wrath is a VERY painful spell and quickly reset the encounter. Our second attempt was much smoother and the snake went down like... well, he bit it as he had countless times before.

After Venoxis, the raid made their way to Bloodlord Mandokir. Valen decided we should try a new strategy, having heard Epics were more likely to drop when you kept the raptor alive as you killed the Bloodlord. It wasn't exactly easy, but with a lot of great healing and tanking, the Bloodlord found his home amongst the maggots. He didn't drop any epics, unfortunately, but Santi completed his Primalist ring set, and Dalin got some nice new shoulders.

Next, we decided that with this strong of a group, we should try something new. We headed for the Panther boss, Arlokk. After some strategy discussion, we made our first atempt. We took her down to 33% before wiping, better than any raid before. After more discussion, we made a second attempt and took her to 11%, and also a third, taking her to 13%.

Though we did not down her, we made huge progress on this boss. It is certain we will take her next time. Tomorrow we will enter ZG once more, and I believe, down the rest of the Aspects.

Paratrooper Calamity

I think we all did an excellent job keeping the axis back. The raids on Le Fere Saturday Morning and on into the night were some of the best fighting that Ive had since I joined the game.

Out of the Core
February 4, 2006

I am requesting a moment of silence...Molten Core is dead!  That is right folks.  In one month's time we have gone from barely downing Mag to defeating ALL 8 BOSSES!!(didnt have enough people with the domo quests yet.)  We started off really strong then a few moments of dumbassery, but we pulled it together and kicked their asses.

Yesterday, Blizzard gave us the BOE prizes and today was all about lava and fiery cores.  Much loot was had by all.  Items of note were Budda getting Might Breastplate, Pyralus with his pimping shoulders of uber healing, and Madmage with the silly every 90 sec I PWN JOO trinket.

To answer some of yesterday's cliffhanger questions, Yes Pally drops did happen.  Jake got the belt and Valen got the shoulders, just don't remind Skilly.  I think Budda made it without crapping himself, but there might have been an odor wafting over TS, and sadly our Epsilon 5000 robot still does not have a voice module.

Just want to thank the alliance, our teamwork and great attitude has made this finally possible.  Onwards to Domo and Rag!

Damnit Bannta I told you to clean up after yourself....I have no clue what I just stepped in!

Into the Core
February 3, 2006

Well it was another successful night in Molten Core for Sol Navy. We began with a change of pace and allowed our rabid feral druid to be main off tank. After he learned that swimming in lava is a bad thing, he kicked it into gear and did a wonderful job! I don't remember the exact details but it definately was Hunter night in MC. Three Giantstalker belts dropped, as well as the legs and possibly the gloves. A total of 13 epics were gotten in all as well as the tailoring pattern for the warlock soul shard bag.

Boss fights were a little hectic but we put them down in Sol Navy style. After a rough start on Lucifron we recoverred and beat him down. After getting Magmadar to 2% we died, but quickly recovered and took him down. Dwarf priest...we don't need no stinkin dwarf(honestly next time Santi I'm kicking your ass for not being there :P)

We rallied together and started making our way to Gehannas. The troops were getting a little tired and we started getting sloppy, but we made it there and kicked it's ass. Then the decision was made to call the raid and go again tomorrow. The troops revolted and said Sleep....we don't need no stinkin sleep!(well my repair bill might say different) but it worked out and despite an ugly performance Garr and his Rolling Bombs of Destruction were downed and there was much rejoicing....yeaaaaaaah. Especially from Skilly as he received one of the coolest looking hammers I've seen.

We did a great job and thanks to everyone for really working well together. It's really great to see this alliance come together and make some great progress. Stay tuned tomorrow. Will Paladin gear ever drop? Will Budda ever make it through MC without crapping himself? Will Eps ever get a mic? Be here same bat channel same bat time!
